Refund Policy
Last updated 20 August 2026.
The short version
Cancel any time. You keep everything your tier includes until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again after that. We do not refund the part of a month you have already used.
Cancelling your subscription
Open My account in the app and press Your subscription and card. That takes you to our payment provider's own page, where cancelling and changing a card both live. It appears once a first payment has gone through — on a free trial there is nothing to cancel, and nothing is charged unless you subscribe. You can also cancel by contacting mark@quizporium.co.uk. Cancelling stops future billing — it does not end your current paid period early. Your own quizzes, bingo games and past gigs stay on your account; a catalogue pack's licence ends with your subscription tier, the same as any other feature your tier includes.
If a payment fails
A failed card payment does not cut you off mid-way through anything — a live quiz or bingo night in progress is never interrupted by a billing problem. We will email you when a payment fails and give you a reasonable window to update your card before your tier changes. If it is not resolved, your account moves to whatever the free level of access is at the time, rather than being deleted.
When we will refund you
Outside of the statutory right below, refunds are at our discretion. We will generally refund you if:
- you were charged in error, or charged twice for the same period;
- the service was substantially unavailable for a significant part of a period you were charged for, through a fault on our side;
- you cancel within a few days of a new charge going through and tell us you had meant to cancel before it did.
Contact mark@quizporium.co.uk and we will look at it and tell you plainly either way.
Your statutory right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you may have a statutory right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days for a full refund under distance-selling rules. Using Quizporium to run an actual quiz or bingo night during that window — which is the normal way to try it — may mean that right no longer applies to that period, in the same way it would for any digital service you have started using. This does not affect your other statutory rights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated date.
